Meet David Miller

As a lifelong educator, I’ve spent more than 35 years fighting for students and families. I’ve taught in public schools, correctional facilities, and a drug-abuse prevention center—places where I saw firsthand the difference education can make. I created hands-on vocational and drug education programs, served as Chair of a Special Education Department, and later taught English as a Second Language.

After a long career in the classroom, I made my home in Oak Ridge and continued serving the community as a member of the Anderson County School Board. I’ve always believed in putting people first and finding practical solutions that work for everyone.

In the State Senate, I’ll keep fighting for:

  • Strong Public Schools — making sure our tax dollars go to schools that need them, not vouchers that take away from public schools

  • Tax-Free groceries — because feeding your family shouldn’t cost extra

  • People over profits — so everyday Tennesseans come first

I’m ready to take East Tennessee’s common-sense values to the State House and work for a better future for all of us.
